I spent the last seven days in Atlanta, studying for my User Experience certification with the Nielsen Norman Group. I’m jazzed to say I’ve achieved it, and am excited for the applicability toward my leadership of Royal’s Web site overhaul.

We’re busy building awareness in a new market! Though huge in Wisconsin, the $1.6B Royal Credit Union has struggled to be seen in a sea of financial service providers in the Twin Cities. This new campaign, which targeted Millenials with cheeky, ironic humor, utilized digital outdoor, commercial radio, public radio and print to maximize eyeballs.

The membership of Greater Minnesota Credit Union recently approved a merger with SPIRE Credit Union. The resulting organization will have approximately 84,000 members – the third largest credit union membership in Minnesota – and about $800M in assets.
SPIRE’s marketing team, in partnership with GMCU’s marketing department, handled both internal and external communications efforts, which included mailers, a microsite, in-branch collateral, and public relations. Below is some of the work.
